A utility class for handling PQL objects. A typical use case is to combine result sets from the PublisherQueryLanguageService to then create a CSV such as:

createValue

public static com.google.api.ads.admanager.jaxws.v201908.Value createValue(Object value)

Creates a Value from the value i.e. a TextValue for a value of type String, BooleanValue for type Boolean, NumberValue for type Double, Long, or Integer, and DateTimeValue for type DateTime. If the value is a Value, the value is returned. If the value is null, an empty TextValue is returned.

Parameters:

value - the value to convert

Returns:

the constructed value of the appropriate type

Throws:

IllegalArgumentException - if value cannot be converted

toString

public static String toString(com.google.api.ads.admanager.jaxws.v201908.Value value)

Creates a String from the Value. Date and DateTime values are converted using the rules of DateTimes.toString(Date) and DateTimes.toStringWithTimeZone(DateTime) respectively.

Parameters:

value - the value to convert

Returns:

the string representation of the value or an empty string for null

Throws:

IllegalArgumentException - if value cannot be converted

getApiValue

public static Object getApiValue(com.google.api.ads.admanager.jaxws.v201908.Value value)

Gets the underlying value of the Value object that's comparable to what would be returned in any other API object (i.e. DateTimeValue will return an API DateTime, not a Joda DateTime).

Parameters:

value - the value to convert

Returns:

the native value of Value or null if the underlying value is null

IllegalArgumentException - if value cannot be converted

getNativeValue

Gets the underlying value of the Value object that's considered native to Java (i.e. DateTimeValue will return a Joda DateTime, not an API DateTime and DateValue will return a string in the form of "yyyy-MM-dd").

Parameters:

value - the value to convert

Returns:

the native value of Value or null if the underlying value is null

Throws:

IllegalArgumentException - if value cannot be converted

getCsvValue

public static Object getCsvValue(com.google.api.ads.admanager.jaxws.v201908.Value value)

Gets the underlying value of the Value object that should be used for CSV conversion (i.e. DateTimeValue will return a String representation, but NumberValue will return a Long or Double).

Parameters:

value - the value to convert

Returns:

the CSV conversion value of Value or null if the underlying value is null

Throws:

IllegalArgumentException - if value cannot be converted

resultSetToStringArrayList
